Fees & Wages – Commissions

Registration is free and there are no hidden fees for background / extra performers.

Background / extra work is always paid according to production agreements and relevant union standards. There is no payment or commission up front. Any agency commission (if applicable) is deducted only after your background / extra work is completed and payment is received for your assignment. All payment terms follow industry standards and Canadian regulations (including HST where required).

Basic hourly rate for simple background / extra is based on Ontario wages guidelines. Extra pay / compensation will be given for a pre-fitting (costume), if needed.

Travel out of zone is paid at the hourly rate.

If you are an ACTRA member, all dues and protocols are followed as required by ACTRA union agreements.

After Talent.In.Action is paid by the production, your payment (minus the agency commission, if any) is processed promptly. You will receive confirmation and payment details.
